Accommodation
How do I make my hotel reservation?
For your convenience, we have
reserved a block of rooms at a discount rate at the Warwick Seattle Hotel (www.warwickwa.com). If you would like to
reserve one of these rooms please complete the “Warwick Hotel Reservation Form”
and submit to: Tami Taylor, ttaylor@warwickhotels.com.
Is my lodging included in the
registration fee?
Your lodging while attending PHI2008
is NOT included in the registration fee, and you must make your own hotel
reservation whether or not you stay at the Warwick Seattle Hotel.
Are any meals provided while
attending?
A continental breakfast and lunch
will be provided September 18-19, while attending the conference. Refreshments,
including coffee and snacks, will be provided throughout both days. Included in
your registration is a ticket to the special event at The Space Needle on
Thursday, September, 18 from 7:00 to 10:00 pm, and dinner will be provided at
this event.
Events
Is the Pre-Conference Social Event
on September 17 open to non-participants?
This event is open to participants
and their guests.
Will dinner be served at the
Pre-Conference Social event?
At this event refreshments and hors
d’ouevres will be served but this is not a dinner event.
Can I bring a guest with me to the
Space Needle event?
To attend this special dinner event
you must have a ticket. The participant’s registration fee includes a complimentary
ticket to this event, and you may purchase a ticket (cost: $80) for a guest
separately through the registration website: www.regonline.com/PHI2008. If space
is available at registration you may be able to purchase a ticket for your
guest at the conference by personal check. To ensure that all paid registrants
are able to attend this event we can only allow one guest admittance per
registrant.
Can I purchase a guest ticket to the
event after I have registered for the conference?
If you have already registered for
the conference you may purchase a ticket for a guest at registration on the day
of the event. Space is subject to availability.
Is a ticket to the Space Needle
event included if I only registered for one day?
If you only registered for one day
of the conference, the complimentary ticket is NOT included.
Posters
When will I be notified if my
abstract proposal has been accepted?
If your submission has been accepted
you should receive notification by August 22nd.
What are the acceptable poster
dimensions?
The poster dimensions are 3 feet
wide by 2 feet tall. Please find a listing of poster requirements here: www.gpphi.org/conferences/PHI2008/call-for-posters
Will I be able to print my poster at
the event?
Unfortunately,
we do not have the ability to print posters on-site. Please bring your printed
poster to event for presentation.
Registration
What
information will I receive at registration?
Registration
begins at 8:00am on September 18th. If you have already registered for the
event you will be handed an event program, badge, event ticket(s), directions
to the event, and several conference souvenir items.
Can I
register for the conference at the event?
The
event capacity is 225. If this capacity has not been reached you may register
to attend at the registration table via www.regonline.com/PHI2008. However,
we do expect capacity attendance and we encourage you to register as soon as
possible.
Can I pay
my registration fee with a personal check?
If you are unable to pay your
registration fee with a credit card through www.regonline.com/PHI2008, please
contact Renee Risher, Event Coordinator, rishea@u.washington.edu, and she can
assist you with payment and registration.
Transportation
Will there be any transportation
provided?
The only transportation provided
during the event will be a morning and evening shuttle to and from the Warwick
Seattle Hotel to the Bell
Harbor International
Conference Center
on the days of the conference.
Travel Grants
I have applied and been awarded a
travel grant for attending the conference, who do I need to contact regarding
travel and lodging arrangements?

She can assist you with questions regarding visa, travel and lodging
arrangements.
